Introduction

Hello there. It’s a suitable common greeting, one that the utmost of us wouldn’t give an alternate study to, other than with a proper response. But this common greeting, one that has been uttered numerous millions of times, has taken on a new life form – a meme. So, who do we’ve to thank for this?

WHY DID Sash-WAN SAY HELLO THERE?

McGregor hits suckers with him “ Hello there” in the 2005 film, Star Wars Episode III – vengeance of the Sith. In it, we see McGregor’s Obi-Wan take a vault to eventual battle, but after the wharf, he calmly says, “Hello there. ” Jedi Master was a perfect way to protest effects. Little did we know that it was the simple morning to a meme ending.

The name’s Obi-Wan Kenobi. I’m an old man now, but I used to be a Jedi Knight who fought in the Clone Wars. I have some memories of that time and some wisdom about what it means to live with purpose and meaning in our lives here on earth. Disney has returned Star Wars to its suckers by churning out a number of solid series on Disney. Not only has the popular banderole added every Star Wars movie in canon, but they’ve also brought forth many new series that has made the Star Wars experience a winner for those tuning into Disney. It’s a macrocosm and ballot that astonishingly is only growing these days. The one passing now is, of course, Obi-Wan Ken obi. And it’s with this character where our story starts, a long time agone, in a world far, far down.

The memes started when You Tuber There is no spoon posted three and a half minute videotape named “ Obi-wan Says Hello There While I Play Unfitting Music ”. And true to his word, the videotape is exactly that. You’ll get the drift after 10 seconds. Although the videotape didn’t go viral as it only has a little over 40K views since it was posted in 2007, it was the morning of commodity much bigger.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Obi-Wan Kenobi is a character from the Star Wars franchise. He is one of the most famous Jedi
Knights and masters in history, are known for their mastery over many forms of martial arts. He was trained by Qui-Gon Jinn before becoming a Jedi Knight himself. He also served on the Jedi Council during the Clone Wars; his role there included protecting Chancellor Palatine from assassination attempts by General Grievous (who had been hired by Count
Dooku).

But, if we truly want to get specialized, Ewan McGregor wasn’t the first Obi-Wan to blazon suckers with that polite greeting. We can actually turn the timepiece back nearly 30 times from when Episode III premiered to 1977 when Sir Alec Guinness first played the Jedi Master in Star Wars Episode IV – A New Hope. As you may recall, when we first see Obi-Wan in A New Hope, he’s attending to  an unconscious Luke Skywalker, who just lost a short battle against the Sand People.

As Obi-Wan begins to tend to Luke, he hears R2D2 caching inside a small delve. He turns to address R2D2 by saying,“ Hello there. Come then, my little friend. Don’t be hysterical. ” You can see it at the 225 mark of the following videotape.

A MISSED occasion AT“ HELLO THERE? ”

So far, not one “ Hello there ” has been in the new Disney Obi-Wan Kenobi series, however, there has surely been an occasion or two for McGregor’s Obi-Wan to whip it out. One perfect chance was during occasion 2 of the new Star Wars series. It would have been the perfect time for a nod to the “Hello there” memes, but it may also have been stylish that the expression wasn’t uttered at that time.

When we meet Obi-Wan in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series( SPOILERS) we’re ten times after the events of Star Wars Episode III – vengeance of the Sith. Obi-Wan has seen the Jedi destroyed by Order 66 and his apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, has come to Darth Vader, although Obi-Wan thinks Anakin has decomposed by his own hand.

Obi-Wan, who now goes by Ben, is living in exile on the earth Tattooing, keeping an eye on the youthful Luke Skywalker, when he’s called back into action to deliver Leia Organa, who Ben knows is Luke’s binary family and Anakin’s son. The reason for the hijacking is to bring Obi-Wan out into the open so the Inquisitors can hunt him down, along with any other remaining Jedi.

So, what we see is a sullen Obi-Wan, ready to live out his remaining days in caching. He’s not a happy man, he’s not a delightful man, and his persona isn’t light and jocund. Although Haja provides some grins to the occasion, Obi-Wan plays it safe and cool. While it would have been the perfect time for a “ Hello there ” from Obi-Wan, it was maybe the perfect time not to use it.

Still, the “ Hello there ” greeting was first said by Ewan McGregor in terms of the Star Wars timeline If we want to get specialized about it. That’s because his interpretation of Obi-Wan Kenobi is technical “ before ” the original Star Wars interpretation which had come out about two decades previous. So, yes, in terms of timing also this character is the first one to utter “ Hello there ”.
